It is also something we can do with mkusb, but any option that adds is welcome. Rufus' new / upcoming feature is something Ubuntu allowed us to do from its bootable disc creation tool until recently. Still available for download, there was also an option that allowed us to create Live USBs with persistent storage, something that now also allows us to do Rufus 3.7, now in beta. It was a very good tool, now discontinued, that allowed us just what its name dictates, create Linux Live USBs. ![]() Many years ago, when I wanted to create a USB with Linux, either to install an operating system or use it in Live mode, I used LiLi USB Creator.
